Basic Info
Name:henry_tumnus
Bio
Character Demographics
Fandom: Narnia

Name: Mr. Henry Tumnus

Age: Well over 100, but in Canada he is 30.

Physical Appearance: He's rather short at 5'7", and is padded around the edges from cakes. He has curly, light brown hair and blue eyes. Since his rebirth as Henry, his legs have been human, though he wears trousers in the middle of summer just because they look so odd to him.

Education: Educated in Narnia to a certain degree, but is well read and intelligent. On Earth he studied literature.

Occupation: Musician (retired) - pan flute and other instruments.

Significant Other: Single, but interested in someone...

Sexual Preference: Although I'm sure Tumnus would be most flustered if you asked him that question, he is remarkably straight, even if he is incredibly campy.

Biography

History: During and after the reign on the Kings and Queens of Narnia, Tumnus had a pleasant life, though perhaps marred by his own guilt over almost handing Lucy over to the White Witch. When he died, rather than going to the Real Narnia, he was born in 1974 in California as Henry Tumnus. Only in the last few years has he realised who he was, and the yearning for his home sent him to Canada which reminded him of Narnia - and was a far cheaper move than New Zealand.

Personality in seven words or less: Polite and welcoming, gracious, good humoured. Baker.

How Others Perceive Your Character: If they thought about it, they'd probably think he's gay, even though he's not. Some people might try to take advantage of his manners and politeness since it gives him the air of being a push over.

Beliefs, Convictions, Morals: Since his lifetime in Narnia he has learnt the value of second chances and forgiveness, and has tried to live his new life to the idea of redemption. He tries to have impeccable morals, but sometimes it's just a little too hard and he falters.

Reason(s) for Escaping to Canada: His life as a talented musician did not settle well with his love of quiet moments by the fire, reading and eating cakes, so he has retired to Aternaville to hopefully indulge in that side of his personality.

Their DHAs [Dreams, Hopes, and Aspirations] for Canada: He hopes to feel at home finally in a place that reminds him of his beloved Narnia. He has tried to find the Penvensie children (especially Lucy) but has all but given up of ever finding her.

Twenty-Questions

1. What turns them on: Oh, well, um. "Turns me on?" If I must answer - and it appears so - then I have always been fond of a good conversation.
2. What turns them off: Poor manners, I believe.
3. Would they see a shrink: I have never had anything but respect for the field of psychiatry, and if it were suggested that I might need some help in the area of mental health, then it can be conceived that I would go see a doctor.
4. Worst Childhood experience: Which childhood, is the apt question? My mother - my faun mother, that is - dying has been the worst moment in both my childhoods.
5. Favorite Film: The moving pictures make my eyes hurt, and I rarely attend, but I have always had a penchant for epic love stories.
6. Favorite Song: As a musician it would be impossible for me to narrow my favourite song into one, but I do ache terribly for the songs of Narnia. Even the Narnian Lullaby that I attempted to use for my evil deeds.
7. Favorite Word: "Forgiveness"
8. Least Favorite Word: "Wardrobe"
9. Favorite Curse Word: "Good gracious". Said with enough vehemance it can be as effective as the more vulgar words in a human vocabulary.
10. Best gift ever received: A handkerchief from my dearest Lucy. I have a replica with me that I often keep in my wallet.
11. Sound or Noise they hate: Silence because it makes me think of ice and snow and I get a horrible feeling that is hard to shake.
12. Sound or Noise they love: A beautiful soprano.
13. Do they know the answer to 64 million dollar question: I'm afraid I have no memory for pop culture references. Blame it on my preoccupation for my homeland.
14. [Complete the sentence] ... All the world's a stage... and, by Aslan it's hard to disguise the sound of hoofs on floorboards.
15. Did Yoko Ono really break up the Fab Four: Perhaps. I would not be surprised if she was the White Witch reincarnated.
16. Chuck Norris or Bruce Lee: Who? Oh, I hope living in Canada is less difficult than this questionaire.
17. Half full or half empty: Half full and with an extra jug in the pantry.
18. Coke or Pepsi: Neither, really. Soft drinks are very strange.
19. If they were a Jellybean flavor, which one: Red since they match my favourite scarf.
20. And, finally, if Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Oh, "Heaven" exists. As for "God", I would merely be content with a "Welcome home, Tumnus".
